ONGOING FREE ACTIVITIES

Homeschooling Workshops:  Free Workshops Every Month.   A love offering will be accepted.  "Foundations of Home Education" & "The High School Advantage!"  HLA hosts two free workshops, open to public, on the first Monday night of each month, Sept. through May.  Both begin at 6:45 pm and end at 8:45 pm. Location: Bert Ferguson Community Center, 8505 Trinity Road Cordova, TN  38018

Many museums and other facilities have free admission on certain days.  The following are a few in our area:

Lichterman Nature Center:  5992 Quince, 901-767-7322.  Free admission is Tuesdays.

Memphis Pink Palace Museum:  3050 Central, 901-320-6320.  Free admission is Tuesdays, 1-4 pm.  Does NOT include planetarium nor Imax theatre.

National Civil Rights Museum:  450 Mulberry, 901-521-9699.  Free admission is Mondays, 3-5 pm.

Memphis Botanic Gardens:  750 Cherry, 901-576-7241.  Free admission is 7 days a week, 10 am to 8 pm.  Monorail ride to park is $2.

Public Earthquake Resource Center:  University of Memphis:  3918 Central, 901-678-1723.  Free admission is Monday to Friday, 10am to 2 pm.  Appointments preferred for groups.

 Magevney House:  198 Adams, 901-526-4464.  Free admission is Friday and Saturday from noon to 4 pm.
